WE Are Rafikis Fundraising Campaign

WE Are Rafikis Fundraising Campaign

Hello Grace Gators!

The WE Team is initiating our WE Are Rafikis campaign which helps empower artisans in developing communities to earn a living and build a better future.  This Mother’s Day we are honoring moms globally by purchasing a rafiki – a versatile piece of jewelry that can be wrapped as a bracelet, necklace or anklet – which is handmade by “Mamas” in Kenya.  Through purchases, we are helping each woman who made them earn a sustainable income, allowing them to send their children to school.

The cost of each rafiki is $10.00.  We Team members will be taking rafiki orders from Wednesday May 1 to Friday May 3rd (so that they can be delivered by Mother’s Day).    Cash online is also available to purchase rafikis from April 30th until May 2nd.

Preview the Rafiki at: https://ca.shop.metowe.com/products/mother-s-day-rafiki-bracelet

Thank you,

WE Team!

Stations of the Cross – Holy Thursday at 2:30 PM in the GYM

Today is Palm Sunday and as we journey together into Holy Week, our Grade 7’s will lead us in prayer as we pray the Stations of the Cross together as a Catholic School Community united in our Faith. Please join us if your schedule permits. A special prayer below captures the importance of JESUS’ DEATH and RESURRECTION for us all …

Dear God,

We remember today, the pain and suffering of the cross, and all that Jesus was willing to endure, so we could be set free. He paid the price, such a great sacrifice, to offer us the gift of eternal life.

Help us never to take for granted this huge gift of love on our behalf. Help us to be reminded of the cost of it all. Forgive us for being too busy, or distracted by other things, for not fully recognizing what you freely given, what you have done for us.

Thank you Lord that by your wounds we are healed. Thank you that because of your huge sacrifice we can live free. Thank you that sin and death have been conquered, and that your Power is everlasting.

Thank you that we can say with great hope, “It is finished…” For we know what’s still to come. And death has lost its sting. We praise you for you are making all things new.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen.

Thanks Police Constable Molnar – You Rock!

Constable Rachel Molnar is our AWESOME School Police Resource Officer and she is a wonderful part of our school support team! She stopped by this week to join our staff in our Staff vs. Gr. 8 Volleyball Game – it was great fun and as always, we were glad to have her on our team!
