Pizza Thursdays – Ordering NOW OPEN for February

Ordering CLOSES Sunday, Jan. 22 @ 11:59 PM

Pizza Thursdays for the month of February (cheese slices only) is now open for orders on School Cash Online!

Payments and ordering must be made via School Cash Online (https://www.schoolcashonline.com/)

These orders are due by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2023.  After this time, ordering for February pizza days will NOT be available.

If your child is absent on a pizza day, please make arrangements for it to be picked up.  Pizza will not be held overnight and we cannot issue refunds.  Thank you for your continued support!

 

Spanish Exchange Opportunity for WCDSB Gr. 7 Students

WCDSB grade 7 students: Do you want to have an incredible International Experience with other students from around the Region? Would you like to learn Spanish, travel to Spain, and make new friends?  We are once again offering students who are currently in grade 7 the opportunity to be a part of the 2023-24 Grade 8 Spanish Exchange. If you would like to learn more, plan to come to one of our Information Sessions on February 1st or 2nd. Please see the attached letters for more information.

NEW JK Kindergarten Registration – NOW OPEN!

 

The online registration portal for Kindergarten registration for the 2023-2024 school year is NOW OPEN!
  • Traditionally, JK Registrations for school boards takes place in February for the upcoming school year
  • A Welcome to Kindergarten Night will be held at OLOG School in late May to answer parents questions (date to be determined soon)
  • Children born in 2019 are eligible for Year 1 of The Kindergarten Program (Junior Kindergarten)
  • Children born in 2018 are eligible for Year 2 of The Kindergarten Program (Senior Kindergarten)
  • NOTE: Children currently enrolled at OLOG School in Year 1 (JK) do not need to register for Year 2 (SK)

Country Hills Library News

Country Hills Library is having a PD Day STEAM Fun event on January 20th from 10-11:30 AM for kids in grades K-6.

Registration is not required.

Black History Month Performance – OLOG Bus Driver and Local Musical Talent – Errol Blackwood – Feb. 17th, Registry Theater @ 8 PM

Black history month is approaching and in celebration, one of our wonderful bus drivers, Errol (Skipah) Blackwood, is performing reggae music at The Registry Theatre on February 17th at 8pm.

A number of wonderful events will be happening at OLOG School during February to support the learning and celebration of Black History and Black History month and this one is for our Gator parents … So parents, if you are interested in a fun night out, this may by for you and can purchase tickets at this link: purchasing tickets.

WCDSB Athletics are BACK! Code of Conduct for ALL! 

 

Thank you to our teachers who give their time and share their talent to coach our school teams and provide this athletic opportunity for our students.

Boys’ Basketball and Girls’ Volleyball team practises will continue this week in preparation for their upcoming tournaments.

Our teams have been preparing and we admire our student athletes dedication, resilience and team work.
