OLOG Dance-a-thon Fundraiser – April 5-30th

The OLOG CSAC – Catholic School Advisory Council and Staff Team are excited to announce that we will hosting our FUN and very popular
Spring Dance-a-thon Community Fundraising Event between April 5th-30th, 2024.

This is our major fundraiser for the 2023/2024 school year. Students will have an opportunity to participate and help raise money for their
school by both getting pledges and dancing for a set period of time to earn those pledges (and have FUN doing so!).

Our Spring Dance-a-thon will take place in our gym and is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, April 30th.

All funds raised (via pledges) will help support ALL students at OLOG – as we plan to purchase wonderful new books and resources for our Library.

Prize Donations Appreciated – Thanks!
• Each Classroom will be a THEME – for a Prize Basket to be awarded – and donations to fit that theme will be used for prizes – Classrooms have sent home a note about their prize basket classroom theme
• All students who fundraise for even a small amount will earn raffle tickets (based on how much they collected) and have a chance to win one of several GREAT raffle prize baskets

Thanks for your support Gator Families and stay tuned for more information!

Keep Getting those PLEDGES Gators!

Remember, you get 2 Raffle Tickets for every $5.00

Gator Dance-a-thon Pledge Forms were sent home on Friday (April 5th) and ALL pledges are to be done through School Cash Online.

Dwayne Morgan: Race and Equity Event – Grades 4-8 – April 16th

On Tuesday, April 16th, our juniors and intermediates will have an opportunity to listen to Spoken Word Artist Dwayne Morgan and gain insights into racial challenges’ historical and societal roots, strategies to confront harmful language, and ways to cultivate a respectful, inclusive atmosphere. It highlights the importance of dialogue, reflection, and action. It aims to equip students with the means to facilitate impactful discussions, drive positive change, and create a school culture that embraces diversity, understanding, and equity. Our Grade 4-8 students will join the hybrid event virtually and am sure this presentation will be of great benefit.

Some Race and Equity themes in the presentation include:

  • Accepting accountability for words & actions
